Graduate School of Management
Master of Science in Accounting
Businesses are increasingly seeking employees with advanced accounting degrees and CPA certification. As the only school in Central Massachusetts to offer an MSA program, Clark is committed to instilling strong ethical business practices and preparing students to take on increasingly complex financial responsibilities in today’s global economy. The Clark MSA program, offered to both full- and part-time students, gives individuals the opportunity to complete their degree at their own pace— potentially within one year. The MSA program is Level 1-approved by the Massachusetts Board of Public Accountancy, Division of Professional Licensure, which means graduates automatically satisfy the education requirement to sit for the state’s CPA exam.
Students with extensive prior accounting coursework may substitute elective courses for waived core courses to meet the 10-course program requirement. With adequate planning and sufficient course loads each semester, full-time students can achieve their degree in one year. In addition, the program offers the flexibility of convenient evening classes, day classes, and accelerated classes offered during winter and spring breaks. Clark’s two locations in Worcester and Southborough offer students the opportunity to take classes at the setting that best suits their needs. The Graduate School of Management is accredited by AACSB International — a designation shared by fewer than 5% of business schools worldwide. Clark has been voted one of the top “green” business schools by Entrepreneur magazine, a best business school by The Princeton Review, and ranked 17th in the world in the Corporate Knights Global Green MBA Survey. Clark recognizes professional potential and encourages emerging professionals, with limited work experience, to strengthen their credentials and career prospects with a Clark MBA. Clark rewards strong applicants with generous merit-based scholarships, equal to 25% to 100% of tuition, and assistantships, where students work with faculty or professional staff on special projects while earning a stipend that helps fund their education. Clark is located in Worcester, Massachusetts. Just 45 minutes west of Boston and 3 hours north of New York City, Worcester is close to major business hubs, but offers an affordable cost of living for students.
