Degrees Offered:

PhD in International Economics and Finance

Format: Campus

Program Description:

Our PhD program focuses on developing vital research, consulting, teaching, and high-level policy making skills. The Brandeis IBS PhD program is distinguished by its international economics and finance orientation as well as its corresponding focus on practical applications in policy and business. The PhD program’s core courses are similar to those of a rigorous economics degree but its electives target the practical skills rather than theory. Students have opportunities to study and conduct research abroad as well as participate in seminars and research projects not only at Brandeis but other institutions in the Boston area. The PhD Program at Brandeis IBS ranks in the Top 50 of its kind by the National Research Council of the United States National Academies.

Brandeis International Business School (IBS) has received accreditation for its degree programs, including the PhD in International Economics and Finance (PhD), from AACSB International – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
