Master of Science in Biotechnology and Management (MSB)

Format: Campus

Program Description:

The rapid growth of the biotechnology industry necessitates the education of individuals who can successfully navigate the terrains of both science and business. The master of science degree in biotechnology and management (MSB) is a cross disciplinary degree program, designed to complement the scientist's ability to discuss rational product design and the experimental processes with the skills necessary for a career in product development, marketing, and personnel management. As a graduate of this program, you will serve as a vital link between biotechnology research and development and the process of moving products to market.

This 36 credit program is unique in that it provides a strong foundation in biological content knowledge and core business courses in addition to the crossover courses. Following a cohort model, graduate students take eight week courses that meet one night a week from 6-9:30 p.m. at the Mount's Frederick campus. Cohort groups are formed in August and January for the MSB program.

The curriculum provides the student with a three-dimensional academic perspective culminating in a final capstone experience course. The program is part-time and designed for the working adult. Classes meet one night a week for 8 weeks at the Frederick Campus.
