Program Description:

This Post-Master’s Certificate (PMC) is a 15-credit program designed to prepare counselors and other human service professionals for specialized areas of practice through the provision of advanced preparation and supervised experience. An applicant is required to have completed a master’s degree in counseling or a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, submit a detailed resume or curriculum vitae, a statement of personal and career goals, graduate transcripts, and two letters of recommendation (Note: letters are not required for students currently enrolled in the School of Education’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling or School Counseling master’s programs.)

The plan of study requires a minimum of 15 graduate credits, selected in consultation with the student’s faculty adviser, to be completed within three years.
