The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is the largest and oldest graduate school of public health. Founded in 1916 as part of the Johns Hopkins University, the School has served as the model for public health schools, creating population-level solutions to public health problems around the world.
U.S. News & World Report has designated the school as the No.1 graduate school of public health in the U.S.—most recently in its 2015 rankings—since the magazine began ranking public health schools in 1994.
The School enrolls approximately 2,250 students, with roughly one-third of them international, and has 610 full-time faculty members. Its nearly 20,000 alumni in 148 countries work in ministries of health, in cities across the U.S. and in other top public health schools.
