Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science, Master of Science in Computer Science
Both the Ph.D. in computer engineering and the Ph.D. in computer science programs are offered through the research-intensive Center for Advanced Computer Studies (CACS). The Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science is designed for persons who seek faculty positions in colleges and universities or who desire senior designer research, or development positions in industry, government, or universities.
The Master of Science in Computer Science is designed to prepare you for a career in the computing field. Ours was the first master's in computer science program in the country when it was established in 1962. Since then, we've been teaching and researching communications and networks, intelligent systems, software engineering, and more.
