Environmental Science

Program Description:

Through training and mentoring exceptional graduate students, we foster understanding of managed ecosystems and the environment at the global, national, and regional scales. The Environmental Science program grants MS and PhD degrees that promote a deeper understanding of human-environment interactions in both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. Because we are located at one of the world’s preeminent institutions of agricultural science, we emphasize basic and applied research at the interface of agriculture and the global environment. Our faculty integrates disciplinary excellence in agriculture, engineering, ecology, geology, climate, and biology to facilitate interdisciplinary research.
