Program Description:

The University of Notre Dame developed a joint engineering (master of engineering) and law (juris doctor) program in 1995 to meet the increasing need for lawyers with appropriate technical skills to practice in such specialized areas as patent, environmental, telecommunications, and similar law specialties that have a strong technical content. To be eligible for the master of engineering degree (MEng), the candidate must also be a candidate for the juris doctor degree in the Notre Dame Law School. The masterÆs program is not available as an individual degree program. A student in the dual degree program is classified as a law student.
