The program's philosophy is student-centered and developmentally based. It is designed to provide the highest quality training in professional clinical mental health service delivery. Academic and fieldwork experiences are intended to foster a commitment to scientific investigations, to improve problem solving skills and critical thinking, and to develop effective intervention techniques.


The Mental Health Counseling Program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs.
