Master of Arts in Special Education: Behavior Intervention Specialist with BACB® verified course sequence and practicum

Format: Campus

Program Description:

Trinity Christian College’s Master of Arts in Special Education Behavior Intervention Specialist program offers a unique opportunity for multiple accomplishments. Trinity's program is the only special education master’s degree program in the state of Illinois to combine the Learning Behavior Specialist II (LBS II): Behavior Intervention Specialist endorsement with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc® (BACB) verified course sequence (including the 750- hour intensive practicum) which allows our students to sit for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst Examination® (BCBA).

Through the program, you will understand more deeply the wide range of difficult behaviors you already see in your classroom or profession and learn how to create behavior intervention plans based on observable data that will lead to significant behavioral change. You will also learn the technical language and principles of applied behavior analysis and their applications to prepare you for the BACB® exam. Our coursework focuses on applying behavioral analysis in schools or classrooms and in settings supporting children or adults with developmental disabilities.

If you already have a master’s degree in education, psychology, or applied behavior analysis, you can join the program to take only the BACB® approved courses and practicum to become eligible to take the BCBA Examination®.
