Post-graduate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (NP & CNS) Certificate Programs

Format: Campus

Program Description:

Post-graduate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certificate programs are available for those master’s prepared nurses who wish to gain needed content and clinical expertise to prepare for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) national certification examination.

An individual plan of study is developed between the student and the Program Director, for the following programs:

  • Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
  • Women's Health Nurse Practitioner
  • Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
  • Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist
  • Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist with Oncology specialty

The post-graduate APRN program varies in length. A Gap Analysis completed by the Program Director outlines the completed graduate level coursework and clinical experiences, with the remaining program requirements and national advanced practice competencies, necessary to earn the certificate.
