The Master of Science in Information Systems Management (MSISM) offers a unique blend of courses that combine a strong focus on business data analytics with the foundational skills needed to lead information systems projects and initiatives.
In this program, you will gain theoretical and practical knowledge — as well as hands-on experience — in database modeling and management, data preparation, data analysis and mining, data warehousing and visualization, information systems strategies, the development lifecycle, and project management, all while gaining experience with cutting-edge methodologies, tools, and technologies.

The MSISM has been granted a STEM designation from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The degree gained STEM designation as it provides theoretical and practical knowledge in the technology area.
Under this STEM classification, international students can extend their training in the U.S. by working in their field of study. Students can qualify for a 24-month OPT (Optional Practical Training) Extension, bringing the total OPT time granted to 36 months.

Classes are held weekday evenings on Loyola's Water Tower Campus, which is conveniently located off the Red Line in the heart of Chicago, as well as online. The program is on a 10-week quarter system, and you can begin the program in any quarter.
