Program Description:

Columbia College Chicago offers three Creative Writing MFA programs. Writers of Fiction, Nonfiction, and Poetry develop their unique voice and style while also learning to think critically about their writing. Candidates of the Creative Writing MFA programs will: • Study under leading writers and publishers • Enter the world of publishing by working on any of Columbia’s award winning literary journal • Immerse themselves in the culture of one of the most active literary communities in the country • Select students will be given the opportunity to gain professional hands-on teaching experience and develop a teaching portfolio representative of their own unique pedagogy
