Program Description:

Our M.A. in Counseling: Specialization in Sport and Health Psychology program prepares graduates to work with athletes to improve wellbeing. This unique dual master’s degree in counseling and sport psychology
provides students a comprehensive foundation in counseling theories and methods to maximize health and performance.

Our innovative program is designed to meet the standards of the Higher Learning Commission. With a rigorous theoretical curriculum and supervised clinical field experiences, we excel at preparing students
for the Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Examination (CPCE).

We offer an immersive learning experience that brings together coursework with real-world experience focused on how sport and health contribute to community wellbeing. Our graduates work with experts in the field to tackle issues such as: easting disorders; ethical compromises; substance abuse problems; obesity prevention and treatment; exercise promotion and adherence; and athlete performance enhancement.
