Program Description:

The Chemistry Department at the University of Idaho offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees. Undergraduate majors can choose between General, Professional, Pre-Med, and Forensic B.S. degree options. Of these, the Professional B.S. degree is certified by the American Chemical Society. Ph.D. and M.S. students can conduct research in Analytical, Inorganic, Organic, and Physical Chemistry. Projects with an emphasis on biological and environmental studies are especially popular. A non-thesis option is also available for the M.S. degree. The Department has an excellent suite of instrumentation and ample laboratory space. Our faculty is of the highest caliber, both as teachers and as researchers. We are eager to enroll new students and to prepare them for a rewarding career in Chemistry! Teaching and Research Assistantships offered.
