The M.A. program provides advanced skills-based learning within a context of broadening students' awareness of animation storytelling. The M.F.A. program allows students to explore, in greater depth, areas of animation theory and specialization.
Animation students can select from an extensive range of electives to develop skills in specialized areas such as 2-D and 3-D character animation, stop motion animation, digital modeling, rigging, lighting and look development.
Students learn on the same tools used throughout the industry: Autodesk Maya; Adobe CS5 Master Collection (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Flash and Premiere); and Toon Boom Pencil Check, Storyboard and Animate Pro. Resources include a Vicon motion capture system.
