M.Ed. or Ed.S. in Counselor Education
The Counselor Education Program is for students who serve their communities, their institutions, and their professions as school counselors, clinical mental health counselors, and student service professionals. A student pursuing the master's degree chooses one of three concentrations: School Counseling a 51 hour program; Clinical Mental Health Counseling a 60 hour program; or Student Services in Higher Education a 48 hour program of study. For the Ed.S. degree, the program of study requires completion of 30 credit hours.
The program is accredited by CACREP (the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs), NCATE and SACS. It is also approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
