Program Description:

The Master’s program in Leadership has an emphasis on foundational knowledge, skills, and dispositions essential for school leaders. This degree helps shape and refine school leaders. Candidates complete at the school level a variety of administrative, organizational, managerial, supervisory, and instructional experiences.

Financial aid is available. Graduate students use the standard application process for federal aid, scholarships, and the HOPE Scholarship Programs (if applicable). As a graduate student, you may qualify for scholarships, loans, and employment. Graduate Assistantship (GA) positions are offered to selected full-time graduate students to assist with general departmental/programmatic needs. The typical standard hourly rate for graduate assistants is currently $8.00. As part of the GA package, students also pay a reduced tuition rate of $25 per semester (plus all student fees).

Eligibility Requirements:

Candidates seeking certification in school leadership are responsible for ensuring the M.Ed. in Leadership is appropriate in their respective states. The Master’s in Leadership is a 36-hour program. Candidates holding a Master’s degree in leadership from an accredited college or university program are eligible to apply for the Education Specialist degree 30-hour program which leads to a clear, renewable Georgia PL-6 certificate.
