Master of Business Administration (MBA), Entrepreneurship Certification; Organizational Development Leadership Certificate Program (ODL)
The Master of Business Administration, M.B.A. program at the University of West Florida is designed to fit the lives of busy working adults. This degree program develops students’ skills of management, creates tools students can use in problem-solving, enhances students’ decision-making abilities, and teaches students about formal organizations and the factors affecting their economic environment. The program prepares graduates for leadership positions in a wide variety of managerial and organizational settings in many different industries.
All M.B.A. students complete a portfolio, which consists of five projects that address key business issues within a selected industry and provide an in-depth understanding of the industry across the major functional areas of business. The areas of business analyzed include: Advanced Managerial Economics, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Management Information Systems and Operations Management. The Portfolio can provide a means to explore a future career path or enhance the student’s current professional employment.
The M.B.A. program is fully accredited by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. This accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide.
At UWF, students have the opportunity to join our Finish in Five program if they commit to taking two courses per term in a prescribed sequence. The Finish in Five MBA Program provides the working professional a structured path through an AACSB accredited MBA in five semesters. The program assures participants of course availability, fixed schedules, a specified start date and a specified finish date. For those without a business study background, combining the Finish in Five MBA Program with the Accelerated MBA Foundations makes it possible for the qualified applicant to complete the MBA at UWF in no more than two years. Students can benefit from creating close working relationships with other students in the Finish in Five program.
