The Master of Art in Teaching (M.A.T.) Science Education: Chemistry Education is a graduate initial teacher preparation program designed to accommodate applicants with a bachelorÆs degree or strong minor (30 credit hours with a 3.0 GPA or higher) in Chemistry but who lack teacher certification and are seeking entry into the teaching profession. The program includes courses that provide the necessary background in professional education for certification together with the masterÆs level academic coursework.
