Program Description:

As a leading research university, graduate students at Florida Tech can pursue research in a wide range of areas that align with their interests and career goals. Florida Tech is home to several Mechanical Engineering-related research centers and laboratories, including: National Center for Hydrogen Research, Florida Center for Automotive Research, Thermal Spray and High Heat-Flux Laboratory, Dynamic Systems and Control Laboratory, Robotics and Spatial Systems Laboratory, Institute for Energy Systems, and Laser, Optics and Instrumentation Laboratory. Our faculty is highly distinguished and has a wide range of research interests in instrumentation and control, mechatronics, robotics, biomechanics, computer-aided design and manufacturing, alternative energy , design and testing of materials, energy systems, and automotive engineering, among others. Recent faculty research has been funded by NASA, DARPA, AFOSR, ONR, NSF, State of Florida, and DOE.
