Program Description:

Students develop a repertoire of skills and teaching strategies to be successful in a Montessori classroom. The program includes training in methods in all curricular areas (Language Arts, Math, Sciences, Humanities), Montessori child development, Montessori classroom management, and concludes with a two-semester practicum. Students are able to utilize the fully-equipped Montessori classroom lab on campus as well. Tuition discounts are available for educators.


The MS and EdS in Montessori programs are accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE). With this accreditation in place, graduates are eligible for the American Montessori Society (AMS) teaching certificate in their area of specialization (Elementary I & II or Early Childhood).
