TESOL, MA in International Training and Education
The Master of Arts in International Training and Education will prepare students to become leaders in international education and use education both as an instrument of international development and a means of promoting cross-cultural understanding. This program is unique in that it offers students the possibility to focus their study on the non-formal education sector, both in the United States and internationally, allowing an in-depth look at the role non-formal education plays in such areas as community development and adult education. In a small class setting, students learn a grassroots approach to educational and international development that balances traditional and participatory learning methods and fuses practical and theoretical course work.
The School of Education, Teaching & Health (SETH) at American University is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
