Program Description:

The Master of Science in Strategic Human Resource Management program at Sacred Heart University is designed for entry-level human resource students and for professionals seeking upward mobility in the HR field and those wishing to enter the HR field with an excellent preparation. Stressing the role of human resource management as a strategic business partner, the program offers students the necessary knowledge to effectively work in the field at a strategic level and prepares students to be partners in a global business environment.

Degree Requirements

The MS in Strategic Human Resource program consists of 33-39 credit curriculum, depending upon prior coursework and experience. This program intended for students who are actively seeking employment is the human resource filed and for those already working in a HR role. Applicants without an undergraduate degree in Business may be required to take an additional 3-credit prerequisite course and complete an internship. Operating on a trimester schedule, students can complete the program in two years. Classes are held on weeknights and can be attended in class, live online or by viewing previously recorded classes . This tri-modal schedule works well for newly graduated students seeking a full-time program as well as working individuals who are seeking part-time study.
