Master of Science: Digital Marketing (36 credits)
The Master of Science in Digital Marketing Program, part of Sacred Heart University's prestigious Jack Welch College of Business, fills a growing demand from employers for professionals educated in all aspects of digital marketing. This program covers digital marketing strategies, tactics and tools taught on a double foundation of marketing strategy and web development and design. Students will be able to complete the program in one year on a full-time basis or part-time over a period of 2 to 3 years. The program requires the completion of 36 credits, a total of 12 courses. This includes 3 credits for a Capstone project or a Thesis, taken during the last semester of the program.
Students can select one of two tracks when entering the MS Digital Marketing Program:
> Digital Advertising & Social Media (Search Engine Optimization)
> Marketing Science/Analytics (Big Data)
Additionally, students will be able to gain hands-on experience using industry standard analytical tools, such as Google Analytics, SAS and Tableau. In fact, students earning their master’s degree in digital marketing have the option to become SAS certified, part of the joint program offered by SAS and Sacred Heart University. Sacred Heart University developed the certificate program jointly with SAS, a company at the forefront of analytics, business intelligence and data management. Expertise in analytics is in high demand in this age of big data. The SAS Joint Certificate Program in Digital Marketing is for students desiring a more analytical marketing orientation. In addition to SAS, students in this program can also become certified in Google Analytics, Hootsuite and Hubspot.
Sacred Heart University also offers a professional Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing. The 12 credit Graduate Certificate is ideal for candidates seeking to broaden their understanding of digital marketing or for those who wish to enhance their academic profile for admissions consideration in applying to the master's degree program. Select DM courses, leading to the completion of the Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing, will be offered both on campus and online.
