Program Description:

The Graduate Master’s Program in Cybersecurity is designed to provide individuals with an introduction to information security, risk and threat management, and security architecture. It will give students the skills to effectively address the constantly changing threat landscape faced by people, companies, and governments today. The courses in the program will: provide a broad knowledge of networking and network security; provide an overview of proper technology risk management practices; help individuals to identify new and existing threats and to determine methods to mitigate them; provide individuals skills to handle security incidents; provide individuals with an introduction to building secure and defendable systems; and respond to the pressing need for cybersecurity professionals in the 21st century.

In this program, you will: 

  • Become proficient in products and applications that prohibit cyber threats
  • Learn effective technology risk management practices
  • Identify new and existing threats and determine methods for mitigation
  • Build secure and defendable systems
  • Analyze cybersecurity risks and apply real-world solutions

Students holding an undergraduate degree from outside the United States must have their academic credentials verified and evaluated by an independent evaluation service. Sacred Heart University accepts course-by-course evaluations from World Education Service (WES). You can review their procedure and complete the necessary application process on the WES website. All international graduate applicants for whom English is not their native language are required to submit an official test score report from one of the following exams: TOEFL, IELTS, MELAB, Pearson PTE, or iTEP exam.
