The University of Colorado Denver Political Science Department prepares students for a variety of professions by providing them with skills in analysis, communication and organization. The program incorporates historical, quantitative, experimental, ethnographic, psychological, and creative methodologies while aiming to sensitize students to the essential questions of politics and life. Our graduates are teachers, community organizers, professors, attorneys or public servants in local, state or federal government. Our MA program gives you the option of completing the traditional track or an alternative track centered on the study on politics, public policy and leadership.

Specialized Training in: human rights, legal studies, gender politics, race and ethnic politics, European studies, indigenous politics, urban politics, foreign policy analysis, immigration and Middle East politics
Financial Support: There are a limited number of scholarships including Beeks Scholarship and the Matson Study Abroad Scholarship.
Applications: Applications are due by May 1 (Fall), November 1 (Spring), April 1 (Summer).
Career paths of graduates: Our graduate student alumni have gone on to PhD programs across the country and work in a variety of positions including state and local elected offices, government service, directors of community-based organizations and non-governmental organizations, legislative analysts, UN affiliates, lobbyists, teachers, media analysts and political consultants.
