Program Description:
The Department of Psychology at Colorado State University offers Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees with a specialization in Applied Social Psychology. Emphasis is placed on developing a strong methodological background and using multiple research techniques to investigate social issues that have major impact on people, organizations, and communities. Through content core courses, specialty seminars, and active research involvement, students tailor a program of study to their individual interests. Emphases within the program include but are not limited to environmental psychology, adolescent substance use and prevention, preventive health behavior, gender studies, violence and aggression, conflict resolution and justice, and social perspectives on aging. International and cross-cultural perspectives are encouraged in each area of emphasis.
