Program Description:

The MA in Urban and Public Affairs Program is ideal for students who seek to be specialists in analyzing the challenges and opportunities of 21st century urban and regional policy and politics. It provides students with a  comprehensive background in urban history, political dynamics and advocacy, combined with community based research, policy design and implementation graduate are equipped to help formulate and advocator for policy for a more equitable, livable and vibrate metropolitan region.

The Master’s Program in Urban and Public Affairs combines rigorous graduate seminars in urban studies, practical politics, and public policy with the hands-on experience of applied research and engagement with the community. The program provides a comprehensive background in urban history, political dynamics and sociology is combined with tools for community-based research, policy design, policy analysis and implementation. Graduates may work in city government, nongovernmental organizations, and the private sector, to create and activate policies for the future.
