Program Description:

MA in Leadership Studies with specializations in • PK-12 Public/Private School Leadership • Organizational Leadership and Consulting • Individualized program This program seeks to develop knowledgeable, ethical, caring and inclusive leaders for a diverse and changing society. We prepare “practitioner-scholars” to make significant contributions in a variety of organizational settings. We aspire to enhance students’ capacity to lead in ways that are creative, caring and inspirational. Students develop their understanding of leadership by examining best practices and studying leadership theories, research, ethics, and organizational change. Our students work in business, government, community agencies, nonprofit organizations, the military, education and other professions, and seek to develop their leadership skills within a specific organizational context. All classes take place in the evenings or occasionally on weekends in order to accommodate a full-time work schedule. Our alumni are employed as educational administrators, business executives, instructors and consultants at a variety of schools and organizations. Students may choose to pursue a specialization in PK-12 school leadership and earn an Administrative Services Credential concurrently with their master’s through our Educational Leadership Development Academy (ELDA) programs, designed to prepare outstanding school administrators.
