Program Description:

The Educational Specialist in School Psychology program offered by Pacific’s Gladys L. Benerd School of Education is a graduate-level degree and credential program designed to prepare students for a rewarding career as a school psychologist. This program requires two years of full-time coursework and culminates in an additional third-year paid internship. The EdS program is fully approved by the National Association of School Psychologists and all graduates are also automatically eligible for the National Certificate in School Psychology and California Pupil Personnel Services: School Psychology Credential.

The Benerd School offers advanced education curriculum that emphasizes applied research, experiential learning and close professional mentorship. The Educational Specialist program provides flexible and personalized education as all learning is led by faculty and features the small class sizes that are a trademark of a Pacific education. Students complete a minimum of 60 graduate units and gain real-world skills and knowledge through a final culminating field experience and capstone project.
