Program Description:

University of the Pacific’s Master of Science in Analytics (MS), offered by the School of Engineering and Computer Science, provides students with skills and knowledge necessary for success in the growing world of big data and analytics. The graduate-level program consists of 32 units taught over the course of four semesters (two academic years). To accommodate working professionals, the program uses a hybrid teaching approach, combining weeknight online learning with alternate weekend classroom courses at Pacific’s brand-new San Francisco campus. Students in the MS Analytics program discuss relevant weekly hot topics and gain first-hand perspectives from guest lecturers who are experts in the Analytics industry. The program provides flexible and personalized education as all learning - whether online or in the classroom - is led by faculty and features the small class sizes that are a trademark of a Pacific education. The program culminates with the hands-on capstone project, which gives students the opportunity to apply the knowledge they’ve gained by working with industry professionals to solve a real-world problem with data analysis.
