The Geography Department at UCSB offers specialized graduate training leading to the Masters and PhD degrees in a selection of areas including: Earth System Science (hydrology, climatology, meteorology, oceanography, terrestrial systems and the interactions between systems), Human-Environment Relations (human spatial behavior; urban and regional modeling, planning, and policy; human movement and transportation systems; resource and environmental management), and Modeling Measurement and Computation (remote sensing, geographic information systems, numerical modeling, spatial statistics, computational modeling and database systems, and visualization).
