In recent years, the techniques and principles of facilities and plant engineering management have changed due to the implementation of more automated systems, an increase in assigned responsibilities and a desire for more professionalism at the management level. Although most facilities managers have technical backgrounds, their work is increasingly oriented toward the management of systems and people and the coordination of the physical work environment with the people who work there.
Advance your understanding of this diverse field with an innovative series of courses focusing on design and management of facilities, from concept and installation to long-term efficient use.
