Program Description:

Whether you are preparing to become a teacher or a director of a day care center, or are a parent with a personal interest in early childhood development, the Early Childhood Studies Certificates provide a range of coursework designed to help you meet your specific goals.

The certificates are separated into two phases:

  • Phase I provides information regarding child growth and development, strategies for effective classroom teaching, developmentally based curriculum, and current research and trends.
  • Phase II is designed to increase knowledge of administration and supervision of early childhood programs.<
