Program Information

Degrees Offered:

Advanced Placement Course, Teaching

Format: Campus

Program Description:

Teaching an Advanced Placement Program* course is a rewarding yet demanding assignment because teachers must provide students with an intellectual experience comparable to their freshman year at college. Since both AP* courses and examinations are continually revised, AP* teachers must remain updated on any changes.

One of the first of its kind in the nation, this certificate program has been developed in collaboration with the College Board and provides teachers with content knowledge, pedagogical skills, leadership approaches, and instructional strategies for teaching Advanced Placement classes.
