Program Information

Degrees Offered:

M.A. in Advocacy and Social Justice

Format: Campus

Program Description:

The M.A. Advocacy & Social Justice degree program offers students an in-depth exploration of the impact social justice reform has across a range of global cultures and institutions. It also provides a range of techniques for mobilizing communities in the pursuit of reform in the areas of civil liberties & individual rights, health care, environmental policy, immigration, labor, veteran’s rights, poverty, and more. The Advocacy & Social Justice Master’s program culminates in a hands-on project where students put theory into practice. Students not only observe, investigate and critically evaluate policies, practices, and emergent issues in their fieldwork, they create opportunities to implement change.

Pacific Oaks is proud to announce two Advocacy & Social Justice Scholarships — full tuition for one B.A. and one M.A. student for this new program. Applications will be accepted through November 22, 2017.

Pacific Oaks College is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Pacific Oaks College has been accredited by WASC since 1959.
