Applicants must apply and be accepted into the Certificate Program in their specialty before they may be elligable to apply for the MS or MSD (with the exception of Orthodontics, which accepts students in to the MS track).

Program Description:
The School of Dentistry offers advanced education programs in the following eight (8) areas of study and three (3) programs with a dual-major option leading to the award of a professional certificate and either an optional Master of Science (MS) degree or a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) degree:
Dental Anesthesiology
Endodontics
Implant Dentistry
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (4 and 6-yr tracks)
Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics
Pediatric Dentistry
Periodontics
Prosthodontics
Dual-Major Options:
Periodontics and Prosthodontics
Periodontics and Implant Dentistry
Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry
Each of the dual-major options is expected to take approximately four and one-half years to complete (as opposed to six years if the programs were taken individually). The programs begin every July 1. Accepted applicants will be enrolled with two majors and receive professional certificates upon the successful completion of both programs.
Applicants must be qualified to meet the admissions criteria of both programs and apply to each program separately
Two Master's Degree Tracks Offered**
The School of Dentistry now offers two graduate degree options for graduate students/residents enrolled in a certificate program: the Master of Science (MS) degree in conjunction with the Faculty of Graduate Studies or the Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) degree administered by the School of Dentistry.
**Note: The MSD degree is not available to students in the Advanced Education Program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
