Ph.D. - Clinical Psychology
Help advance the field of clinical psychology with the PhD in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology. This scholar-practitioner program prepares you to make a contribution to the field as a clinical practitioner, researcher, or teacher of psychology.
Our educational model focuses on treating patients as human beings who have developed within complex human systems. In addition to traditional clinical assessment and intervention, you will learn to pursue advocacy, community engagement, consultation, and public policy work as part of your service provision.
We offer you:
-Rigorous course content – Establish your abilities to perform and evaluate research, carry out assessments, provide diagnoses, and counsel patients;
-Extensive fieldwork—Apply what you learn in the classroom to practicum experiences in community service organizations or Alliant’s Psychological Services Centers;
-Faculty mentors—Study with professors and instructors who are high-achieving leaders in the field;
-An APA-approved program – Alliant’s doctoral degrees in psychology are each individually accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association.
After completion of your degree program and post-doctoral internship hours, you will be eligible to apply for licensure as a Psychologist in California. If you wish to practice in another state, additional requirements may apply.
