Program Description:

The Master of Science in Security and Intelligence Studies (MSSIS) is a new program that was introduced in Fall 2014. The master’s program is housed within the Nation’s first College of Security & Intelligence that also offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Global Security and Intelligence Studies and in Cyber Intelligence and Security. Interdisciplinary in its approach, the MSSIS curriculum draws information from the academic fields of political science, history, psychology, anthropology, cultural studies, business and finance, the natural and physical sciences, and computer science and engineering, to name a few. If you were to join this program, you would get to analyze intelligence shortfalls and study past and current investigations conducted by blue-ribbon commissions or Congressional committees. The goal is for you to learn how to master and manage intelligence and security operations. You have the option to focus on either international security, national security, or human security. Because of the rigor and prestige of our programs, Embry-Riddle has placed graduates in positions at the CIA, FBI, NSA, NGA, NRO, DOS, DHS, state and local police departments, and the World Bank, as well as private companies. Having a master’s degree in the field of Security and Intelligence Studies will no doubt make you an attractive applicant to many agencies.
