Computer Science is an exciting and rewarding discipline. It needs talented, imaginative students to meet the challenges of the future: such as establishing the limits of what computers can and cannot do, inventing new algorithms and languages to exploit parallel computers effectively, designing and building new computer systems to handle very large information systems, solving problems of computer speech and vision, or ensuring that the programs controlling aircraft or medical equipment contain no life-threatening errors. Computer Science graduates are much in demand from all kinds of employers, who need people who can take the initiative in harnessing computer technology to solve practical problems.
