MA - Philosophy of Mind
The MA in Philosophy of Mind is designed to familiarize you with main topics and key texts in the philosophy of mind, both historical and contemporary. The programme subsequently offers various optional topics for study, such as Artificial Intelligence, Freudian Conceptions of the Mind, Conceptions of Mind in the Ancient World, and Wittgenstein’s work on Phenomenology. The units offered function as modules inthe Faculty MA programme and are constructed so as to be accessible to those with little or no previous experience of this area of philosophy. The philosophy of mind has been a central concern of modern analytic philosophers, and the MA can provide a basis for further research in philosophy.
