Program Description:

This course provides training in the skills necessary for the planning and development of infrastructure for rural and peri-urban communities. It is designed for engineers working in developing countries who are concerned with the provision of integrated infrastructural facilities including water supply, sanitation, waste disposal, roads, buildings, energy and agricultural development. The course provides an understanding of the rural development context, and of basic economics and social issues, therefore enabling you to work constructively in multi-disciplinary teams and to take appropriate planning, management and technical decisions.
