Electromagnetic inductance tomography (EMT) accounts for a considerable fraction of the group's current research effort on sensor systems. The work involves research and development of multiple coils inductive sensing systems for tomographic imaging and inspection. The motivation for this work is to produce low cost, high speed, rugged and reliable industrial inspections systems for a variety of industrial and process applications. This work has been supported by the EPSRC and Brite EuRam (an international project which is co-ordinated at Lancaster with partners in Portugal and industry).
