Modern French Studies (Paris option)
MA-Modern French Studies
The modules available on the Modern French Studies pathway during the first term, spent in Canterbury, address the often complex relationship between texts and images. They require proficiency in French and are designed for students with interests that may include literature, art, philosophy and aesthetics. These modules provide a unique opportunity to study the ways in which the literary, visual and theoretical intersect.
In Paris, during the second term, students join those from the School of English to take two modules, taught in English:
*Paris and Modernism
*Paris, Reality and Representation
Students applying for a place on any one of the Kent at Paris MA programmes may also apply to the Paris scholarship fund, currently valued at over £5,000. The closing date for applications is 1 June, see Paris Scholarship 2011 for further information.
Other funding opportunities
Kent also provides a variety of other financial support opportunities for postgraduate students. These range from a generous number of research studentships, through to location specific funding, sport and music scholarships, and funding specifically for overseas fee paying students.
See the scholarships website for more information.
