Program Description:

Rapid developments in many areas of science frequently mean that graduates need to retrain in particular specialised fields of study. The wide choice of courses available on this scheme makes it possible to tailor study programs closely to meet individual needs, particularly for those who are seeking to study a newscientific discipline, retrain or update their knowledge and skills, possibly after a career break. The scheme leads to a postgraduate qualification appropriate for employment in relevant professions, and as industrial and research scientists. For example, Hertfordshire is the centre of the nation's pharmaceutical industries; seventeen large health care companies are a short drive from the Hatfield campus and our graduates are fully prepared to play an active part in an industrial laboratory.
