Program Description:

This unique course integrates two subject areas which are rapidly becoming more interrelated and of growing importance within organisations. It is part of a group of MSc awards which cover the key areas of Total Quality, Health and Safety and environmental management. This program is designed to teach safetyprofessionals to plan, organise, implement and monitor safety, health and environmental management in the workplace. You will also be able to develop managerial skills in resources, people, information and finance. Specialisation will be possible in health and safety and/or environment through your dissertation. If you successfully complete the course and have three years’ appropriate experience, you will be able to apply for corporate membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. This is an essential qualification for safety practitioners who need to manage safety and integrate the demands of corporate developmentand legislation. The course has been developed with the expertise of staff within the School which has been recognised by the Institute of Quality Assurance as a Centre of Excellence for Quality in Education. The School has also been recognised by the WDA as a Centre of Expertise in Environmental Technology and Management.
