Program Description:

This is a part-time programme aimed at practising healthcare professionals who wish to develop the subject skills required for practice in specialist areas of medical imaging and the ability to deal with complex clinical situations. It provides a flexible modular pathway that is vocationally relevant and meets the needs of health professionals from different backgrounds, their employers and relevant professional bodies. You can study up to Master's degree with stepping-off points at Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma. Students choose one of the following postgraduate pathways: PGDip/PGCert in Medical Imaging (Radiographic Image Interpretation) PGDip/PGCert in Medical Imaging (Computed Tomography) PGCert in Medical Imaging (Cranial Computed Tomography Reporting) PGCert in Medical Imaging (Gastrointestinal Image Reporting) PGCert in Medical Imaging (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) PGCert in Medical Imaging (Vascular Imaging and Intervention) PGDip/PGCert in Medical Imaging Following successful completion of one of these pathways, students may study an additional pathway or individual modules from the module catalogue to gain the required credits for a Master's degree. Many of the modules are also available for students to study as an Associate Student. Taught modules are delivered in the School of Health Studies, with clinical modules incorporating work-based learning in the student's base hospital.
