Leadership, Management and Change in Health and Social Care
This programme is designed to meet the needs of current or potential managers in public sector organisations, social enterprises, the voluntary or independent sector who wish to develop strategic management and leadership skills. The aim is to develop a critical understanding of the changing context within the public sector and the skills to manage and lead within this context.
It can be studied on a full- or part-time basis and commences in September each year.
The PGDip consists of the following modules:
Leadership and management perspectives (20 credits); Leadership and management practice (20 credits); Strategy, policy and organisations (30 credits); Managing change (30 credits); Project planning or Project management (20 credits)
Students wishing to proceed to the MSc must include the Project Planning modules as part of their studies and also complete a Management Project (60 credits).
