Creativity is central to success in the Knowledge Economy. It is also the key to unlocking our own expressive potential. This new MA offers a unique combination of practical application, creative skills and intellectual inquiry. It blends the use and application of key Arts and Media technologies with an in-depth understanding of context and the intellectual training required for today’s highly competitive arts, media and public communications environment.
It will equip students with the mastery of necessary skills for production in the areas of digital graphic arts, image production and digital design to enable them to become highly qualified professionals in these areas. The course is also designed to enable students to be sensitive to the context in which their creative output is located and to gain mastery in their ability to communicate with specific target audiences in a powerful way.
The course culminates in a major project submitted at the end of the summer, and EIMC students may also submit their work for public exhibition. We have excellent resources specifically designed for this programme in our brand-new Digital Arts Centre. This course will also train graduates in specific research techniques, critical awareness and key project management skills that would be an ideal foundation for research in the area of Digital Arts and Media.
